Education

Bachelor of Science in Financial Math and Statistics from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012 Masters in Secondary Math Education from University of California, Los Angeles in 2013

Experience

I tutored middle school students in mathematics when I was enrolled at UCSB for a part time job. When I came to UCLA, I was a student teacher in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 for a full year. I now have a credential for mathematics (middle and high school) and I currently teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Project Based Mathematics at a charter school, DaVinci Communications. I am in my second year of full time teaching and love seeing the accomplishments of the students when they finally understand a concept and start to become comfortable with the subject.

Hobbies

I enjoy living in Los Angeles because the weather allows us to do so much outside! I love the occasional hike whether that it Runyon Canyon or driving out to Malibu. I also try to go to the gym 4 days a week because I find it a great stress reliever! Yelp has become my new best friend because I love trying new places to eat. I also tend to get hooked to watching some shows on TV ranging from reality shows to sitcoms.
